Meet the Therapist
Owner & Founder
Mikayla Arnett, MT-BC
Hi! My name is Mikayla Arnett, MT-BC, and I am the proud owner and founder of Homefront Harmonies Music Therapy, LLC.
I received my Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy and minor in Neuroscience from Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania. I had the opportunity to complete my internship and begin my career at a private practice in Charleston, SC, where I gained experience providing music therapy in a variety of settings, including schools, nursing homes and long-term care, memory care, special education, early childhood intervention programs and daycare centers, adult day centers, and home-based services.
I am familiar with working alongside clients with an array of diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, Developmental Delay, ADD, ODD, and other behavioral diagnoses, dual-diagnosis, PTSD, dementia, and Alzheimer’s.
In addition, I have been playing the flute since I was 11 years old, and I teach lessons on the flute, piccolo, piano, guitar, and ukulele. Moving to the area as a military spouse seeking resources for those around me, I have a passion to serve and provide my community with access to high-quality services and create a place where music therapy is accessible to all.
